Tiramisu Cake Is Delicious

Every now and then you come across something that is unexplainable, the history of the Tiramisu cake seems to fall into this category rather well.

This is a delightful Italian dessert, one that not only tempts the taste buds but one that fires up the remaining 4 cylinders on your 12 cylinder energy level for the day.

This is because this cake is loaded with high impact energy boosting properties such as sugar and eggs.

While it is clear that the cake did in fact come from Italy, it is not clear from which region. Many chefs wonder why it would not have a clear origin like all other recipes, and this raises questions every time this cake is mentioned. What is known about this cake, is that the ingredients are easy to acquire and that this cake will knock your socks off.

There are many different ways to make this cake, and this may be the reason why there is no clear origin recorded for this dish. It may in fact be that due to the variations, no one person can definitely say this recipe started here.

Simple Ingredients That Pack A Punch

If you are looking for a high-octane desert that you can wow your dinner guests with, then look no further than the Tiramisu cake. It is not difficult to obtain the ingredients for this recipe, what may be the most difficult task however is holding it all together if you are not familiar with the recipe.

One of the most prominent ingredients that you will find in this recipe is Espresso coffee. While you do not use a lot of this powerhouse coffee, you must remember that you do not need a lot to feel its strength. You will also need: ladyfinger cookies, egg yolks, Marsala wine, sugar, and Heavy whipping cream. The addition of bitter cocoa powder, and Mascarpone cheese close out the ingredients that make this delightful dish.

So Which Is It? 1968 Or 1985?

As stated there is a raging debate over where this dish is originally from, and while the people that actually love to eat Tiramisu cake really do not care it is the chefs and home cooks that seem to be at arms about it. There are some that feel that this dish is new as in the 1985 era, and there are some that have claimed they known of this dish since 1968.

The most noted origin of this fine dessert is to be from an Italian town called Trevino, and this will be the place of origin on this cake basically until it can officially be proven otherwise.
