Hello, and welcome to my About Me page for the Italian traditional food website.

Here is a little about me and Italian Traditional Food. Since I was a young girl I have always enjoyed spending time in the kitchen. I can remember times with my own mother cooking for the family.

These memories are what have always motivated me to make the most of mealtime with my own family. I come from a fairly large Italian family and food has always been a very important part of our lives.

Even after I married into another Italian family, I still continue to stay home and cook. I have found that cooking traditional Italian foods from scratch has been one of the most rewarding gifts I have given to my family.

While I spent time living in Italy, I travelled all through the country. During this time I was able to learn many of the regional specialty dishes.

Some of these recipes are not well known in other parts of the world. I am fortunate to have been able to share them with family and friends as I prepared them over the years and you will now be able to do the same.

The recipes of old style Italian food are simple and easy to make once you know what you are doing. The best part of Italian cooking for me is making a recipe your own. I have added my own touch to many recipes.

The secret to good Italian cooking is fresh, fresh, fresh. The fresher the ingredients the better your meal will taste.

While in Italy I had the luxury of visiting the market as often as I wanted. I could take my time to pick out fresh vegetables and herbs for each meal right before I was going to cook. If you know where to shop where you live you can also get all your ingredients fresh. I cannot stress the importance of fresh and organic foods. Not only will your meal taste better, organic and fresh vegetables are much better for you.

They have no pesticides, preservatives, and the nutrition is much better. I have enjoyed making all of my dishes from scratch for years. I am not one who likes to use partially prepared foods. I enjoy watching the meal progress from the first ingredient to the last. However, I do offer some short cuts to my recipes for those who are on a time schedule for meal preparation.

My passion for good food and cooking is why I am here with you today. I hope to be able to spark that chef in each of you. This site will give you what you need to be able to cook Italian food easily and from scratch. You will be able to get recipes, tips, and articles to help you get the most out of your cooking experience.
