Serving The Real Italian Cuisine

Many people think eating Italian in America is about eating a bucket or pasta with meatballs or a pizza. This could not be further from the truth. While dishes such as pizza and spaghetti are true Italian dishes, there are so many more types to prepare. The type of pasta and what it contains will greatly be influenced on where the dish is from and the cultural influences.

Depending on what you plan to serve for a meal, you can choose from a huge variety of Italian dishes that you and most other people would not know came from Italy. Depending on the region you choose to cook from, you will find an array of authentic dishes for every palette. From pastas to fish and everything in between, you can enjoy eating Italian in America.

Eating Italian With A Flavor Of Tuscany

The region known as Tuscany has its own very unique types of foods. This area is very well known for its beans. You can expect to prepare dishes using fresh thyme, fennel, and rosemary.

While some red meats are cooked, most of the cuisine you will cook will contain chicken. These chicken dishes are very much very regional, as most other Italian regions do not use chicken regularly.

There are so many types of Tuscan foods to choose from. You can choose from a Tuscan bean soup or a heartier dish such as Chicken Marsala with red peppers. You can see how easy it can be eating Italian in America when you know what type of dish to serve.

Eating With The Romans

When thinking about Rome, people automatically associate it with power. Peasants invented most of the dishes and recipes that are most popular in the region. This is the region that you will find dishes that include Romano cheeses, tripe, and whole roasted pig.

Since the region was mostly poor people at one time dishes using the entails of the animals was very popular. It was and still is a very easy and economic way to get protein in the diet.

When eating Roman Italian in America you will want to try dishes such as Roman Fettuccine, Jaccoli, Roman Tripe, Roman mixed fry, and many other local favorites. You can make so many authentic dishes for less cooking from this region.

The Sicilian Experience

When it comes to eating Sicilian, you will be entering another world of food. This part of Italy is like no other and very different from the rest of the country. You can expect rich dishes to include eggplant, ricotta sweets, and many types of fish.

Beautiful pastas, rich red sauces, and citrus dishes are all from Sicily and can make any mouth water. This is what we all think of when cooking Italian style.

Dishes such as Penne with Eggplant, Sicilian pizza, calzones, lobster in red sauce, and cannoili. No matter what you choose, you will no doubt fall in love with any dish from this region.
